Built in 1988, the National represents one of the newer gated golf communities. Golfing all-time greatest golfer Jack Nicklaus created a wonderful layout to not only challenge golfers but also permit everyone to enjoy his signature layout. Having lived in another community boasting a Jack Nicklaus design, I just love how he provides ample driving areas off the tee and “bailout” areas where there are difficulties. A few years ago Pinehurst Resort acquired the National, now referred to as #9. All homes are quite distinctive and the community has a newer luxury look to it. Because of its convenient location, the National has become a favorite residence for many local professionals such as physicians and business owners.

Full golf on Pinehurst #1-#9 Transfer fee: $22,500 Monthly dues $492 per month.

FACILITIES:

One 18 hole Jack Nicklaus signature course, swimming pool and tennis courts and a full-service clubhouse and pro shop.
